A little cooking imagination can persuade anyone to eat broccoli, especially if they’re not fans of the vegetable. Broccoli is a hardy vegetable. It’s delicious, nutritious, and best of all, makes a fantastic pairing with cheese.

1 Stir-fried broccoli: Beef with Broccoli Recipe 

One of the best ways to enjoy broccoli is stir fried. It’s a simple and fast preparation but the key to a successful stir-fried broccoli dish is the size of the broccoli pieces you add to the wok. When stir frying broccoli as well as any vegetable, it’s important to try to prepare these pieces in similar sizes that will not only cook quickly in the wok but also won’t overcook the vegetable and other ingredients before it’s ready to take off the heat.

2 Blanched Broccoli: Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Broccoli Recipe

Blanching is a super quick cooking method that isn’t meant to actually cook the food. It’s more meant to brighten and preserve the color of the food than cooking it. This cooking method parcooks vegetables such as broccoli for longer cooking later on. This means you can add the broccoli later in the cooking process of the dish so you can be assured that the broccoli not only looks appetizingly green but is cooked right.

You can deep-fry broccoli to delicious results! Just like you would coat shrimp in a light batter before frying when making tempura, you can do the same with broccoli. After frying, it can be tossed in a super tasty sauce that would make it even more appetizing.   


4 Baked broccoli: Cheesy Broccoli Rice Casserole Recipe  

Baking or roasting vegetables are an easy hands-free cooking method that can result in delicious dishes, too. With broccoli, it’s a great ingredient to add to casseroles that require a little more cooking than other vegetables. Even if broccoli hasn’t been blanched prior to being placed in the oven, the longer cooking process will cook the broccoli into tender bites.

5 Pureed Broccoli: Cheesy Broccoli Soup Recipe 

The easiest way to attract people who don’t like certain vegetables is by pureeing the vegetable. It’s easy to do: boil or cook the broccoli until tender and puree in a blender, food processor, or even by manually mashing the softened vegetable.
