WATCH: How to Make Baked Tahong

Use Panko breadcrumbs for some extra crunch!

 

These delicious mussels are baked with Panko, Parmesan cheese, spring onions, and butter. It’s an easy-to-make appetizer that you’ll surely love!

 

1 cup Japanese breadcrumbs (Panko)

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

2 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons spring onions, chopped

1/2 kilo mussels, in the half shell

 

1 Preheat oven to 350° F. In a small mixing bowl, combine Japanese breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, spring onions, and butter.

 

2 Lay the mussels on a baking sheet. Place breadcrumbs mixture over each shell and press down slightly. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately.
