WATCH: How To Make Easy Beef Curry

Curry is a complicated mix of spices, but cooking with it doesn't have to be.

Making beef curry doesn't need to be too difficult. Curry powder is a complex combination of spices so when it comes to cooking at home, using a prepared spice blend is the fast and easy way to make curry. While you can certainly add coconut cream, leaving it out not only intensifies the taste of the spices used in the spices blend, it also allows the flavor of the beef to shine through.

What you taste is beef, the veggies, and a sauce made extra flavorful from the spices. It's great for drizzling over some extra rice.

2 Sprinkle in curry powder. Stir to coat beef cubes. Pour in beef broth. Bring broth to a boil then lower to a simmer, covered, until beef is tender, about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours. Add water if the mixture becomes too dry while tenderizing.

3 Add onions, potatoes and green peas. Simmer again, covered, until vegetables are tender and cooked through, about 20 minutes.

4 Add in cauliflower. Simmer again, covered, until heated through, another 10 minutes. Simmer, letting the excess water evaporate until the sauce is thickened. Serve with steamed rice.
