This homemade chicken nuggets recipe definitely beats the store-bought variety! Serve it on its own as a side or with rice for baon. Don't forget the dipping sauce!
½ cup milk
juice from half a lemon
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ cup Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon paprika powder, or to taste
salt and pepper, to taste
250 grams skinless chicken breast fillets, sliced into 1 ½-inch squares
Oil for frying
For the breading:
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
1 egg, beaten
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
1 Combine milk, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add skinless chicken breast fillets. Marinate, covered, in the refrigerator for 1 hour or overnight.
Prepare the breading: Combine all-purpose flour, garlic powder, and salt on a plate. Place 1 egg in a bowl and breading seasoned with paprika and Parmesan cheese on another plate.
Dredge the chicken fillet with flour, dip in the egg, coat with breading. Fry until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels and serve with preferred dipping sauce.
