WATCH: How To Make Homemade Mie Goreng

These are just as delicious as the instant version.

Mie goreng is known as an instant noodle dish. You know that there’s going to be a meal on the table in as short a time as three minutes. While those noodles cook delicately in boiling hot water, you can be making the sauce that you’ll toss the hot noodles in. Simple, easy, and intensely flavorful.

We know that when hunger strikes, it’s hard to do more than that when your stomach is grumbling. However, we think it’s a great idea to take a few more minutes more and do some justice to your meal, even if it’s as simple as a mie goreng dish like this one. (Not to mention a much more satisfying dish with those vegetables!)

You can use pancit canton softened in some chicken broth or use pancit miki noodles which are fresh egg noodles. Either is a fantastic option for a mie goreng recipe that’s made from scratch.
