This Filipino sweet chewy rice cakes are eaten as dessert or as merienda. Make sure to always dip or coat with grated coconut, sugar, and sesame seeds.
2 1/3 cups glutinous rice flour
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
Black and white sesame seeds
1 Combine grated coconut, sugar and sesame seeds in a dish. Set aside.
2 Combine glutinous rice flour and sugar in a bowl. Add water and mix until dough comes together.
3 Scoop dough into tablespoons. Roll into balls and then flatten into discs.
4 Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil. Cook dough, in batches, until they float to the top.
5 Scoop them out with a slotted spoon and coat with coconut mixture.
6 Top with more grated coconut and toasted black and white sesame seeds before serving.
