People avoid cooking with pressure cookers mainly because of the fear that if the lock or seal is faulty, that its contents may explode. Thankfully, with the introduction of the Instant Pot-a multifunctional pressure cooker-people who were skeptical or in fear of using a regular pressure cooker appliance are now more comfortable because of its safety functions.
Another charm of the Instant Pot is its multifunctionality. Besides the given that it's a pressure cooker, it also has other functions such as Smart Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Steamer, Sauté, Yogurt Maker, and Food Warmer.
On top of that, it also has pre-set programs such as Soup/Broth, Meat/Stew, Bean/Chili, Poultry, Sauté, Rice, Multigrain, Porridge, Steam, Slow Cook, Keep Warm, Yogurt, and Pressure Cook.
By definition alone, there's no reason why anyone wouldn't want an Instant Pot. Who wouldn't want to have a 7-in-1 kitchen appliance that's a space-saver too, right? We got to talk to three Instant Pot owners to really give us the lowdown on all the pros and cons (plus tips!) before you spend P6,995 on this kitchen appliance.
