Almost every Filipino household has at least one meal that has this staple: rice. Whether it’s garlic rice with tocino and a sunny-side up egg for breakfast, or freshly steamed rice served with sinigang, it’s the comfort food of every Pinoy.

But with the early morning rush and the hassle of cooking dinner every day, it can be challenging to prepare meals. We’ve come up with four simple recipes, with only five ingredients, that you can make when you barely have time—all of which were made more delicious with Knorr Liquid Seasoning:

 

Chicken Fried Rice

Ingredients: 

3 cloves garlic, chopped

1 cup mixed vegetables

2 cups chicken fillet, chopped

1 tablespoon Knorr Liquid Seasoning

3 cups cooked rice

Optional:

1/2 cup cashews

 

1 Saute chopped onions over high heat. Cook until softened.

2 Add mixed vegetables, cook until heated through.

3 In small bowl, mix chopped chicken fillets with Knorr Liquid Seasoning and pepper.

4 Add to the wok, and sauté until cooked through.

5 Add cashews and cooked rice. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss until rice is heated through. 

6 Remove from heat, and serve.

 

Budget Yang Chow Rice

Ingredients:

1 red onion, chopped

1 cup frozen cooked shrimp

2 large eggs

3 cups cooked rice

1 tablespoon Knorr Liquid Seasoning

Optional: 

1/2 cup frozen grean peas, thawed

 

1 Saute red onion over high heat. Cook until softened.

2 Add green peas (optional) and shrimp. Cook until just heated through. Push ingredients to the side of the wok. 

3 In a small bowl, beat eggs, and season with salt and pepper. Add beaten eggs to the wok.

4 Add cooked rice, toss to mix well. Season with Knorr Liquid Seasoning.

5 Add salt, and pepper to taste. Toss until rice is heated through.

6 Remove from heat, scoop into bowls, and serve.

 

Beef Steak Rice Bowl

Ingredients:

1 large white onion, sliced

1 tablespoon garlic, crushed

1 cup leftover bistek, chopped

1 tablespoon Knorr Liquid Seasoning

3 cups cooked rice

 

1 Saute onion and garlic over high heat. Cook until softened.

2 Add leftover bistek, and cook until heated through.

3 Add cooked rice, and toss until heated through.

4 Add one tablespoon Knorr Liquid Seasoning.

5 Remove from heat, scoop into bowls, and serve. 

PRO TIP: Serve with crispy onion rings on the side.

 

Longganisa Hash Fried Rice

Ingredients:

1 small red onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, chopped

1 cup leftover fried longganisa, chopped

1 tablespoon Knorr Liquid Seasoning

3 cups cooked rice

 

1 Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Sauté onion and garlic. Cooked until softened.

Add leftover longganisa and mix. Add cooked rice, and toss until rice is heated through.

3 Season with Knorr Liquid Seasoning, salt, and ground black pepper.

4 Remove from heat, scoop into bowls, and serve.

Fried rice recipes are easy to make, and these require ingredients that you already have in your kitchen or can readily replace with your favorite vegetable or meat.
