One ingredient is the pasta.

Cheese and pasta is one of those combinations that are instant winning dishes. The creamy cheese is a silky coating for the pasta, giving it a luscious texture that's irresistible.

What makes cheese and pasta so good?

It's probably the cheese and its umami taste that makes pasta dishes so well loved. There is also the fact that it's so easy to make! You can make dishes that are fast and easy to make without the pasta being overly complicated.

However, did you know you could make a super easy cheese sauce? You can and it's just as easy as the pasta sauce that only has two ingredients. However, it's richer and better tasting than that easy cheese sauce. The trick to making this easy cheesy pasta sauce is adding one more ingredient: milk.

The three main ingredients you need are fresh milk, grated cheese, and the pasta of your choice. A dash of salt and ground pepper each to taste makes this pasta instantly delicious!

How easy is this to make? This is how easy it is:

  1. 1 Bring salted water to a boil then cook pasta according to package directions or to your desired doneness. (Macaroni is perfect!) Drain, reserve about 1/2 cup pasta water, and set aside.
  2. 2 Heat 1 cup fresh milk (or 1/2 cup evaporated milk and 1/2 cup water) until just about to boil.
  3. 3 While milk is heating up, place 1 1/2 cups any quick-melting cheese, grated, into a large bowl. Pour hot milk over the cheese and stir immediately to melt. Add just enough still hot pasta to be coated and stir. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add reserved pasta water (or more hot milk!) if the sauce is too thick, and serve immediately while it's still hot.
