Feeling Sick? Here Are Easy Soup Recipes To Make You Feel Better

It's not fun to cook if you're feeling sick. We have all suffered bouts of feeling sick at one time or another and yet, we sometimes need to still work, cook, and do things around the house despite this. To help you feel a little better, some hot soup, specifically chicken soup can help you feel better.
If you're feeling less than your best, here are simple yet comforting soups to make at home, plus suggestions on what you can swap if the ingredients aren't in your kitchen right now:
1 Malunggay and Corn Soup Recipe
Classic and super simple with only 4 ingredients, this soup is a nostalgic one. It's super easy to make, plus can be made with canned corn if fresh isn't available. If it is available, you have your choice of sweet Japanese corn, white corn, or even the purple corn that once made waves with its kernels of different purple hues.
Stir in some beaten eggs, and you've got a heartier soup to enjoy. Serve with crackers on the side!
2 Chicken Sopas Recipe
Chicken sopas is our version of the chicken noodle soup from the West. It's just as hearty and comforting. The big change is instead of noodles, we use elbow macaroni and we add evaporated milk to make it milky.
No chicken? You can still make this using Vienna sausages, corned beef, mushrooms, or even some ground beef which cooks fast and doesn't need to be tenderized.¬†
3 Chicken Molo Soup Recipe
This holiday recipe doesn't need to be tied to a season! The wrapping of the molo dumplings can be swapped with premade siomai or other Chinese-style dumplings. You can even use hotpot ingredients such as chicken and squid balls if that's what you have in your freezer. Don't forget the crispy fried garlic chips on top!
4 Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe
There are many ways to make chicken noodle soup but there is one thing they all share: each bowl is satisfyingly filling. It's loaded with shredded chicken, noodles, bits of tender vegetables, and best of all, a perfectly seasoned soup flavored with the essence of chicken to make you feel better with every sip.

5 Oriental-Style Soup Recipe
Another super simple recipe that evokes childhood memories, this soup is also known as Nido soup for the island location where the endangered birds' nests are taken. These nests were the original ingredient in the dish, but can be swapped with sotanghon instead. The sotanghon noodles deliver a similar texture as the nests do but without endangering the animals.
6 Veggie-Bean Soup Recipe
You don't need meat to make a soup hearty and satisfying. You can sip the meat and even the fresh vegetables if you're not up for chopping up ingredients. Instead, load up on ingredients already cooked and ready to be added to your simmering pot such as frozen and canned vegetables, canned cooked beans, stock cubes, and a dash of dried herbs to make the soup taste interesting and unique.
7 Creamy Tomato Soup Recipe
A creamy soup can be fast and easy, even without a blender or food processor to help you out. The key is to simmer all your ingredients so that each is easily mashed with a fork. You can easily cook canned tomatoes until super soft. Just stir in some heavy cream, some herbs, or even a pinch of red pepper flakes to give it some heat to make this worthy of a grilled cheese sandwich.

8 Garlic Gazpacho Recipe
