Tip of the Week: How to Make Quick Pickled Onions
It's just as quick and easy as it sounds.

If you aren’t too big on the aggressive punch of raw onions, but still want to add their natural flavor to a dish, then you should have a go at making your own quick pickled onions! Quickly pickling onions is a great way of mellowing out their flavor while also adding an extra bit of sour zing.
All you’ll need to do is finely slice a small onion (white or red are fine), place it in a bowl and season liberally with salt and sugar, around a big pinch of each. Then, add just enough of an acid of your choice (we like vinegar and citrus fruit juice) to cover the onion. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and you should have a batch of quick pickled onions at your disposal!
