WATCH: How to Make Beef Shawarma Rice

Beef shawarma is Arabic in origin but there are several versions in different countries. It is usually made with thinly-sliced meat and veggies, hugged by pita bread or flatbread. This version consists of beef shawarma served on top of steamed rice instead of the pita or flatbread—it's a more filling option for Pinoys who can't live without rice. 

 

Turn the popular beef wrap into a hefty rice bowl.

 

Spices such as cumin and turmeric turn up the flavor. Feel free to add more spices to your liking! You can also experiment with coriander, paprika, and garlic powder—the options are endless!
