Â
A turbo broiler is a convenient, low-cost, and low-energy cooker that's a must in every kitchen!Â
Use it to roast your proteins:
Â
Make fries with less fat:
Preheat turbo broiler to 350°F. Cut 3 medium potatoes into 1-inch wedges. Place in a medium saucepan with 1 tablespoon salt and cover with water. Boil over medium-high heat for 10 minutes or until fork tender. Drain potatoes and cool. Coat potatoes with 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and place in the turbo broiler. Cook for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Â
Bake a mini molten chocolate cake:
Preheat turbo broiler to 350°F. Melt ½ cup dark chocolate chunks or semisweet chocolate chips and ½ cup unsalted butter over a double boiler. Mix in 1 cup all-purpose flour; cool. Beat together 3 large eggs, ½ cup brown sugar, and a pinch of salt until light in color. Fold in chocolate mixture, divide among 3 greased (4-ounce) ramekins, and bake in the turbo broiler for 15-20 minutes or until set but still gooey in the middle.
