You Need to Try This 15-Minute Tuna Sushi Recipe

Add a bit of mangoes and some avocado and you’ve got yourself a guilt-free treat!


The process of making sushi rolls seems like a tall order—the Japanese will tell you that it's an art that takes years to perfect—but there's actually a simple and easy way to do it at home. Here's how: 


2 cups cooked Japanese rice

4 tablespoons sake rice wine

1/4 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt 

2 nori sheets

1 185-gram can Gold Seas Yellowfin Tuna Chunks in Olive Oil with Chili, drained and shredded

1 small avocado, sliced into strips

1 small ripe mango, sliced into strips


1 In a small bowl, combine Japanese rice, sake rice wine, sugar, and salt. Set aside.

2 Lay one sheet of nori on a sushi mat. Add rice mixture and place shredded tuna, avocado strips, and mango strips horizontally.

3 Roll the nori sheet, press to form a sushi roll, and seal using a bit of water. Remove the sushi mat and slice into bite-sized pieces. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi on the side.
