Most Pinoys will agree that moms are magicians in the kitchen — and food is definitely one of their love languages.

There is nothing quite like a home-cooked meal lovingly and tenderly prepared by our moms. Much like these special women, a dish made by our mothers is beyond compare.

To pay tribute and celebrate our moms, nanays, mamas, MAGGI® partnered with Smart Parenting and Yummy to put a spotlight on your favorite mama-made recipes. We asked you to share your moms’ signature dishes — and truly, they look #AllinOnederful.

Mommy Mariesan’s Sinigang na Hipon

Sinigang is one of those classic Pinoy dishes that practically everyone loves. It’s hearty, nutritious, and incredibly versatile, too! The sampalok-infused sour soup pairs perfectly with pork, beef, or even different kinds of fish.

For Smart Parenting reader Shem Gasatan, her mom’s sinigang na hipon is truly extraordinary.  She writes in her post, “One of my personal favorites, mommy’s sinigang na hipon. Sarap! Thank you, Mom Mariesan! Happy Mother’s Day.”

Mommy Teresita’s Sweet and Sour Pork

No two sweet and sour pork recipes are the same. It’s one of those dishes Pinoys love to embellish and make their own. The base, however, remains the same: crunchy fried pork! Pineapple chunks also bring out the sweetness in this stew that everyone loves.

Yummy reader Marissa May Samoy Torres says her mom’s sweet and sour pork is the one she loves best. 

“Sweet and sour pork—it’s my mom’s recipe I love most. Every time she cooks this, we feel happy [during our] staycation at home, during our family bonding time. Happy Mother’s Day, Mom! And thank you for cooking with us!” Marissa shares.

Mommy Cora’s Superb Pasta

While not a traditionally Pinoy dish, pasta is beloved by a lot of Filipinos. It brings to mind birthday parties, reunions, and all sorts of family celebrations that bring joy to a lot of us who are family-oriented.

Yummy reader Emiko Yamazaki is probably one of them. In her post, she talks about how much she loves her mom’s seafood pasta with clams. “My mom makes the best vongole! Super sarap any time of the day!” she says.
