Creamy Super Moist Chocolate Cake Recipe
Seasoned home bakers can’t go wrong with this indulgent version of the classic chocolate cake. Chocolate fans in the family will surely be asking for seconds once they have a bite of the Creamy Super Moist Chocolate Cake!
Takes: 1 hour 15 minutes + chill overnight
Yield: 4 to 6 servings
Creamy Super Moist Chocolate Cake Ingredients:
For the chocolate sponge:
1 cup sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
6 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon fine salt
1 piece egg
1/2 pack 125ml NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup hot water
1 teaspoon butter, softened for greasing
For the chocolate frosting:
1/2 pack 125ml NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup condensed milk
How to Make Creamy Super Moist Chocolate Cake:
1. Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees F.
2. Make the chocolate sponge: Sift sugar, all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
3. In a separate bowl, mix together egg, 1/2 pack NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
4. Whisk in liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients. Gradually whisk in hot water. Mix until well combined.
5. Grease aluminum pan, pour cake mixture, and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the middle of the cake.
6. Make the chocolate frosting: Mix 1/2 pack NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream, chocolate chips, and condensed milk in a bowl with gently simmering water underneath. Mix until smooth. Set aside to cool.
7. Pour chocolate frosting on the top of the cake and chill overnight.
Burnt Basque Cheesecake Recipe
More experienced bakers can try their hands on making this cheesecake, which is said to have originated from a bar in Basque Country, Spain. Burnt Basque Cheesecake is characterized by an “imperfect” look of having burnt tops and sides, but with a rich, creamy, and cheesy center. With this recipe, you and your family don't have to fly to Spain anymore when you can create your homemade version of this delightful dish!
Takes: 20 minutes
Yield: 4 servings
Burnt Basque Cheesecake Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter, softened
1 bar cream cheese, softened
6 tablespoons sugar
2 pieces eggs
1 pack 125ml NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
How To Make Burnt Basque Cheesecake:
1. Spread butter on a small cake pan or large lyanera. Line the bottom and the sides with parchment paper and set aside.
2. Mix cream cheese and sugar with a whisk until smooth. Add egg one at a time while mixing. Mix in NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream, salt, and vanilla extract.
3. Fold in all-purpose flour. Pour into the prepared cake pan. Bake in a preheated 400 degrees F oven toaster for 25–30 minutes or until top is deep golden brown, the sides are set, and the middle is a bit wobbly.
4. Set aside to cool. Peel off the parchment paper. Cut into serving pieces and serve at room temperature.
Note: Fruit preserves like blueberry and strawberry or fresh fruits like mango may be used as a topping for the Burnt Basque Cheesecake.
Easy Tres Leches Cake Recipe
Don’t let its fancy name fool you — beginner bakers and even non-bakers can ace this no-bake version of the light and tasty Easy Tres Leches Cake! Just soak a store-bought sponge cake or mamon in three kinds of milk (hence, the name!), assemble, and chill. It’s so easy to make, you can even ask the kids to help out!
Takes: 30 minutes + chill for 2 hours
Yield: 3 servings
Easy Tres Leches Cake Ingredients:
1 cup evaporated milk
3 pieces store-bought mamon, halved crosswise
1 pack 125ml NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream, chilled
1/3 cup condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
3 pieces cherries
How To Make Tres Leches Cake:
1. Drizzle evaporated milk on mamon until very moist.
2. Whip NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream with condensed milk and vanilla until soft peaks are made.
3. Assemble mamon with whipped cream in between, on the side, and on top. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
4. Top with cherries and serve well chilled.
