Tip of the Week: How to Cut and Peel an Avocado

This is the easiest way to do it!

Here's a prep hack that will not let any avocado flesh go to waste. Instead of scooping out flesh from the skins, you can just peel the skin off!

 Hold an avocado on one side with one hand. Using a large, sharp knife, slice the fruit lengthwise around the seed. Open the fruit to expose the pit.

 Fold a kitchen towel and use it to hold the half with the pit. Tap the seed with the knife, wedging the blade halfway through the pit. Twist the pit out of the avocado and discard.

 Slice the avocado halves into sections, cutting right through the peel.

Using your fingers, separate the meat from the peel.
