Tip of the Week: How to Store Leftover Tomato Paste
This is a great cost-saving tip!

Many recipes require just a scant amount of tomato paste, about one to two tablespoons. What do you do with the opened pack?
Â
Instead of storing it in the fridge, place one tablespoon of tomato paste in each slot of an ice cube tray. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and freeze. Once frozen, remove the cubes from the tray, place in a zip-top freezer bag, and store in the freezer for up to three months. When a recipe calls for tomato paste, just use one cube for every tablespoon needed.
