Pork Bao Bun

Prep time: 1 hour

Pork Bao Bun Ingredients:

5 Bao Buns, Steamed according to packaging instructions
500g pork belly slab
1” ginger, thinly sliced
4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 piece Knorr Pork Cube
Water for boiling pork

For the sauce:

2/3 cup water
1/2 tbsp Knorr Liquid Seasoning
5 tbsp honey

For the veggies:

1/3 cup Lady’s Choice Real Mayonnaise
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup shredded cabbage
½ cup cilantro o salt and pepper to taste


How to make Pork Bao Bun:



1. Slice the pork belly into 1” pieces. Over medium heat, using a large pot, bring the water, pork belly, ginger, garlic, and Knorr Pork Cube to a boil.
2. Remove the pork from the pot, and remove excess water with a paper towel. Reserve ¾ cup of cooking liquid and set aside.
3. In another clean pot, combine all of the ingredients for the sauce, the pork, and the reserved cooking liquid. Cook over high heat and cover with a lid once it starts to boil. (Lightly cover, not completely) then adjust to low heat for 1 hour. Set aside.
4. For the veggies: Place 1/5 portion of carrots and cabbage on the bun, then the slice of pork belly on top. Top with chili, and cilantro, and drizzle it with Lady’s Choice Real Mayonnaise.
