This Sushi + Pizza Hybrid Is A Match Made In Food Heaven
Your two favorites in one!
When you think of dining out in Manila, two of the most popular dishes that come to mind are probably sushi and pizza. Though these two meals are pretty much unrelated, what they have in common is that they've remained staples in restaurants of all cuisines all over Manila for years and years. Don't worry, we won't send you into an existential crisis by asking you which one is your favorite. Instead, we want to introduce you to dish that combines these two popular food picks: Say hello the 1621 Sushi Pizza!
Yup, it's exactly what it sounds like: Sushi and pizza in one dish. What you get is a baked pizza crust topped with a medley of ingredients you would normally find on sushi, resulting in a cool twist on these beloved Japanese flavors. 1621's Sushi Pizza is available in three variants: Classic Tuna, Spicy Salmon, and Seafood Aburi.
Classic Tuna (P380) features tuna belly, kani, pickled ginger, soy glaze, sriracha mayo, cheese sauce, tobiko, and tempura flakes baked on the pizza crust for a delicious mix of classic Japanese flavors and varying textures.

For those who prefer salmon over tuna, the Spicy Salmon pizza (P450) would be your best bet. It's got fresh salmon tossed in sriracha mayo, pickled ginger, and tobiko then topped with soy glaze, cheese sauce, bonito flakes, nori, tempura flakes, and fried salmon skin.

Last but not least, the Seafood Aburi pizza (P450) gives you the best of both worlds with a mix of salmon and tuna along with kani, pickled ginger, tobiko, cucumber, spring onion, nori, wasabi mayo, and soy glaze. Best part? It's topped with a generous amount of ooey-gooey cheese sauce.

You can order 1621's Sushi Pizzas by filling out the order form on their Instagram page.
