Mommies And Cooking Newbies, This Class Is For You!
Being a mom can be overwhelming when you're juggling two to eight tasks at a time, but it can be the most rewarding thing ever, too. If you're a new mom or a mom-to-be who is absolutely clueless around the kitchen, 25Â Mushrooms Kitchen is offering an Absolute Beginner Moms' class, that can teach you the basics.
The Absolute Beginner Moms' Class will be a four-day class where you can be taught how to prepare simple, healthy, and delicious meals. The course also takes into consideration the time you can allot for cooking. You'll also learn about basic cooking equipment and planning a menu, which is extremely helpful if you can only schedule a grocery trip at certain days of the month.Â
Part of this class is getting familiar with other cooking techniques that go beyond frying and boiling, like sauteing and roasting. You'll also get the chance to enhance your knife skills, where you'll learn how to properly chop vegetables.
The four-day class schedule, which only happens every Saturday, is as follows:
January 18: Hands-on knife skills, Chicken Stock, Beef Stock, Vegetable Stock, Roasted Pumpkin Soup, Roasted Tomato Soup with 4 CHeese Toast, and Baked Lasagna.
January 25: California Maki, Grilled Chicken Teriyaki, Japanese Fried Rice, and Prawn Tempura
February 1: Paella Valenciana, Grilled Tenderloin with Potato Au Gratin, Pasta Carbonara, Roasted Chicken with Gravy
February 8: Eggs Benedict, Homemade Chicken Tocino (without preservatives) with Garlic Rice, Banana Bread.
The Absolute Beginner Moms' class costs P7,500, inclusive of ingredients, and will be held at 25 Mushrooms Kitchen, Valle Verde 5, Pasig Kitchen. The menu may change without prior notice depending on the availability of the ingredients.
