7 Underrated Desserts You Can Find At 7-Eleven

These are all under P100, too.

While 7-Eleven is a go-to when you need to shop for essentials, grocery items, snacks, and even affordable coffee, it's not usually top-of-mind when you think of a place to get cakes, pastries, and other decadent sweets. Not many know that the convenience store actually offers pastries and other desserts that should satisfy your sweet tooth, especially if you're just in the mood for a sweet fix that's quick and easy.

7-Eleven's dessert selection, which includes cakes, cheesecakes, and classic Pinoy sweets, can be found in the store's chiller section. They're surprisingly super affordable, especially when you're used to coffee shop and bakery prices. No treat on this list costs above P100, which is perfect when the need for something sugary hits but you're on a tight budget.

Unfortunately, most 7-Eleven desserts are only currently available in selected branches, and stores can run out quickly, especially if the branch nearest you is pretty popular. So when you find yourself lucky enough to stumble on the following desserts in your neighborhood 7-Eleven, make sure to grab them.

Another classic cake slice that 7-Eleven carries in their chiller is Red Velvet Cake. This flavor has red velvet cake layered with buttery vanilla frosting with a hint of tang to remind you of the traditional cream cheese frosting. Despite its decadent appearance, it's surprisingly not cloyingly sweet.

This classic Filipino flan can also be found at selected 7-Eleven stores for the budget-friendly price of P39. Each handy tub has leche flan that's dense and creamy, with a caramel-y sweetness that's just right. Tasting pretty much like the dictionary definition of this Pinoy dessert, this should be a quick fix that satisfies.

You don't have to wait for December to have this Noche Buena mainstay! 7-Eleven's Fruit Salad has the nostalgic sugary goodness of fruit cocktail in cream and condensed milk. You'll be pleasantly surprised to find chunks of cheese in the mix, too. Nothing beats mom's fruit salad but we think this works really well in a pinch.

Sometimes you need something a little heavier for dessert-and that's totally fine! Or maybe you're just in the mood for a sweet snack. Either way, you can't go wrong with 7-Eleven's Ube Champorado (P39). This version has thick, almost glutinous rice porridge with the familiar nuttiness of ube. It's extra rich, too, with hints of gata flavor. Have it warmed up at 7-Eleven or bring it home-it's in a handy, microwaveable tub.

Oreo lovers should grab a Cookies and Cream Cheesecake Cup (P79) when they find it in 7-Eleven's chillers. This cheesecake cup has a cream cheese layer studded with chocolate cookie crumbs on a graham crust, then topped with non-dairy whipped cream for extra richness, and more chocolate cookie chunks. You'd be hard-pressed to find a dessert this decadent at this price.

If you're in need of a dessert that's more decadent, you can't go wrong with 7-Eleven's Blueberry Cheesecake Cup. Each cheesecake cup has a thick layer of luscious cream cheese on a crushed graham crust and is generously topped with USA-imported blueberry topping. It's not as hefty as an actual slice of cake, but it scratches that itch for cheesecake pretty well.
