These Fluffy Ube And Pandan Egg Sponge Cakes Are Now Available In The Philippines!

Who can say no to soft, bouncy, aromatic sponge cakes?

You can’t go wrong with fluffy, tasty, freshly-baked sponge cakes. These cakes are delicious, melts in the mouth, and make for a good merienda you can share with your friends and family (or all for yourself!—no judgment!). This is probably why there are more and more sponge cake shops opening in Manila. The latest to enter the market is Ah Mah–a traditional homemade egg sponge cake from Malaysia.

The word “Ah Mah” means “grandmother” in different Chinese dialects. These egg sponge cakes will make you remember the warmth and love of your lola!

A fun fact about Ah Mah’s Ube-flavored sponge cake is that it uses locally-sourced ube halaya. This ube egg sponge cake is actually a Manila-exclusive, which means you can’t find this flavor in other branches of Ah Mah located in Malaysia, Singapore, China, Thailand, Cambodia, and Indonesia.

It doesn’t matter if you’re having this for breakfast or merienda, any of Ah Mah’s flavorful egg sponge cakes can go well with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate!

Ah Mah is located at 3/F Robinsons Magnolia, Aurora Boulevard, Quezon City.
