Have You Heard Of This Famous Puto From Lipa, Batangas?
Just like the many versions of sinigang, adobo, empanada, and longganisa that you can find in different parts of the Philippines, there are also different kinds of kakanin. In Lipa, Batangas, most locals and tourists know one place that offers delicious puto: Ninay's Special Puto and Tamales.
What makes Ninay's Special Puto special is that it uses a tried and tested recipe that was passed on from generation to generation since 1913. According to an interview with Aling Ninay herself, she uses quality rice flour that gives their puto that traditional flavor and texture. When you take a bite of it, you'll notice how fluffy, soft, moist, and siksik the puto is.
The Special Puto is so good that you can eat it on its own. But it gets better! The puto comes with a serving of kalamay sauce which you can drizzle on top of the puto, and this will surely make you want to grab one more bite after the other, especially if you're pairing it with kapeng Barako on the side.
The Special Puto costs P250 per box, which has two layers of 18 bite-sized pieces. They also have other specialities like the Tamales and the Putong Malagkit.
Ninay's Special Puto and Tamales is only accepting pre-orders. You can place your order by messaging (0917) 840-2303 or calling 043-756-4360.
