Weekend Getaway Idea: This New Floating Bar + Resto Is Within Metro Manila

You can also go kayaking or biking!

If you want a weekend getaway that doesn’t involve the crowds that flock to Tagaytay, Rizal, or Pampanga, you might want to consider going elsewhere instead, like Valenzuela which is closer than Pampanga if you’re coming from Metro Manila. There’s a new attraction in this city called Alvarez Park Cafe where you can find a café, breakfast place, seafood restaurant, floating bar, and a fishing ground all in one area.

The famous attraction from Alvarez Park Cafe is their floating bar-restaurant named The Fisherman’s Point. This has a wooden dock (walkway) that leads up to the two-story floating restaurant that has a nautical design all over.

If you plan on dining here, The Fisherman’s Point offers three-course meals for lunch and six-course meals for dinner. If you want something to drink for happy hour, don’t worry as they have your booze covered, too.

The Fisherman’s Point has really interesting items on the menu, from appetizers all the way to desserts. The menu includes mouthwatering Salmon Tartare with Sesame Dressing and Smoked Chili Oil with Fresh Mango and Tanuki, Tomato Butter Miso Soup, Raviolo with Wilted Spinach and Toasted Walnuts, Pan-Seared USDA Choice Ribeye with Polenta and Mushroom Redwine Sauce, French Lobster Thermidor, and Angel’s Cake.

If you plan to go there for breakfast or if you prefer simpler meals, head over to Alvarez Park Cafe which is a separate establishment from The Fisherman’s Point but it still offers the calming scenery of the lake.

Alvarez Park Cafe has all kinds of breakfast dishes on the menu. They have waffles with eggs and bacon strips, different kinds of silog, and of course, coffee.
