An Anthony Bourdain Documentary Is Coming Soon!
Are you ready to cry? Better get those boxes of tissues ready.
It's been months since the tragic news of Anthony Bourdain's death left the rest of the culinary industry mourning. We loved seeing (and tasting) the rest of the world through Tony's adventures in his award-winning shows, No Reservations and Parts Unknown.
According to a report by Vanity Fair, CNN and Zero Point Zero (the production company behind No Reservations and Parts Unknown) are already doing the pre-production work on a documentary film commemorating Anthony Bourdain. Amy Entelis, CNN's Executive Vice President, shared that the decision to produce a film about Tony was simple and easy. She shares, "We just want to make it perfect, we want to make it exquisite for Tony. We want to do him justice."
It is said that this documentary will be released as early as 2019 (yes, we're already counting down the days!). The documentary will first make its debut on the festival circuit, and then have its theatrical release, and will eventually be shown on CNN.
