This New Baking School Has A "Masterchef"-Style Kitchen

If you're a fan of cooking shows, you've most likely fantasized about being a contestant at least once. That dream just got a little closer!

Baker John, which produces delicious cheese rolls, ensaymada, and revel and carrot bars, have decided to share their extensive baking knowledge. Last April 11, Baker John Academy opened to both customers and baking enthusiasts. They've set out on a mission to hone skills, talents, efficiency, and provide a place perfect for innovation.

At the heart of this new baking school is a "Masterchef"-style baking laboratory with 10 fully equipped workstations that can each be used by five students at a time. Each station also comes with a worktable, sink, three kinds of ovens, and they also have access to industrial-grade dough-handling equipment. These workstations were immediately put to use on the very first day of Baker John opened during its inauguration as they held a two-day baking competition with students.

The students are from select beneficiary schools who got to benefit from the toolkit for a Bread and Pastry Production course that was developed by Universal Robina Corp. (URC), and Department of Education (DepEd). During the big competition, students were able to put to use all their skills and talents using Baker John Academy's industry-level amenities.

Right now, Baker John Academy serves mainly its current customers and partner institutions. Eventually, though, they are looking forward to opening to everyone who wants to learn more about baking. We can't wait for when that time comes!
