This Packet Of Kimchi Is So Delicious, You Can Use It As Ulam

Kimchi haters, this will change your mind.

You're not alone if you started to fall in love with kimchi because of the countless times you've seen it on Korean dramas and Korean variety shows-not to mention, the countless times you've been to a Korean barbecue restaurant that served it in unlimited amounts. But even so, kimchi still is an acquired taste. Its tanginess and the spiciness can be a little overwhelming and totally different from how us Pinoys incorporate chili and fermentation in our dishes.

If you're still on the fence about kimchi and would like to give it another go, you should try Bibigo's Stir-Fried Kimchi. What makes this different from your regular kimchi is that besides the usual spiciness and tanginess, this also has a touch of sweetness and a bit of umami to it, too.

According to CJ CheilJedang, the company behind Bibigo, this Stir-Fried Kimchi is stir-fried in oil and green onions, which is why this kimchi has sweet notes. Because this is stir-fried kimchi, the smokiness can be attributed to that added step.

If refrigerator space is a recurring problem in your household, this is great because apparently, you don't have to refrigerate it. But if you do have space, you might as well store it in your refrigerator just to be on the safe side!

As someone who frequents Korean supermarkets on paydays, I always go to ASSI Fresh Plaza and restock my kimchi stash by buying the store's homemade kimchi that they sell in unlabeled containers in their freezers. While I still love regular kimchi, I find myself hoarding Bibigo's Stir-Fried Kimchi packets even if it's a little expensive, priced at P80/80 grams and P140/150 grams.

Bibigo's Stir-Fried Kimchi is that good that you can enjoy it beyond just being a side dish. Just a cup of hot white rice and a packet of this kimchi will do!
