Big Al's Launches A New Cake And It Only Costs P380
You can't go wrong with this classic!
Within the realm of classic cakes are those of the decidedly decadent sort, like chocolate cake; on the lighter and fruitier sort, like strawberry shortcake; or on the homey and nostalgic sort, like carrot cake.
Then you've got red velvet cake, the flavor variant characterized by its deep red hue and slightly-dusky taste that's primarily of vanilla with just a hint of cocoa for depth. It makes a great dessert pretty much anytime the sweet hankering hits, but most especially for Valentine's season. If you're looking to try a new version, we've got just the thing. Big Al's Cookie Jar has just come out with their own version that'll be available for a limited time!
As with many of their desserts, Big Al's goes the fairly classic route for their Red Velvet Cake, doing away with frills or fuss but focusing on delivering quality first and foremost. You get a moist and cocoa-tinged cake base with a tight yet fluffy crumb and a tangy, not-too-sweet cream cheese frosting that glides like silk on the tongue.
It's served in a foil loaf pan with a simple but elegant look showcasing the frosting piped in rosettes and topped with a red heart-shaped piece of sugar decor. Sure, you could be fancy and serve it sliced on a plate or you could do as we do and just dive in with a spoon. (It's great either way.)
As of writing the Red Velvet Cake goes for an introductory price tag of P380, so you'll want to get your hands on a loaf (or two) ASAP! This can easily be done by heading over to their website; note that they don't deliver themselves, and you'll have to book your own third-party courier to get it sent to your doorstep.
