This Boracay Resort is for Food Fans—It's Also Home to Delicious Wood-Fire Pizza In The Island

You won't want to leave.

Do you travel for food or hope the spots in your itinerary serve good eats? On a recent trip to Movenpick Resort and Spa Boracay, we discovered you don’t have to worry about eating well while on vacation.

The picture-perfect resort located at Puntabunga Beach, far away from crowds the White Beach, has a pristine beachfront without the throngs of people blocking your view of the sea and the island’s perfect sunset. Each nook is Instagram-worthy: think cozy lounge chairs, a beachside bar that looks out into the ocean, Boracay’s biggest swimming pool as your breakfast view—it’s not difficult to fall in love with the place.

Your beach vacation starts with a delicious spread at The Market.

Brezza serves authentic pizza made from a wood-fire oven from Napoli. They call it "The Beast".

Pizzas are cooked in only  1 minute!

Get your fill of pasta, risotto, and other Italian food favorites at Brezza.

The best part? You’re spoiled for choice when it comes to good eats. Movenpick has 7 restaurant outlets with affordable eats: The Market, the resort’s all-day dining space; Brezza, which serves Italian food with pizzas prepared in a wood-fire oven from Napoli they christened “The Beast”; The Café, where you can while your afternoons away with coffee, freshly-baked bread, and Pinoy merienda favorites; Ssam, where you can get your fill of Korean and Japanese food (don’t miss out on their shrimp tempura and kimchi rice); the Fun Pub, where you can feast while being surrounded by pool tables, darts, board and card games; the Pool Bar, a sunken pool bar where you can get your fill of fresh fruit juices, refreshing shakes, cocktails, and light snacks; and the Sol Marina Beach Club, where you can choose from cocktails and concoctions made from Aklan-made products and local ingredients.

As with all Movenpick resorts, 5 to 6 p.m. daily is designated as Chocolate Hour at Movenpick: take your pick from the resort’s chocolate buffet and indulge in everything sweet before heading off to the beach front to watch the sunset. Our tip: don’t be intimidated by the spicy chocolates on display—they will be one of the best things you can try on your beach vacation.

The Movenpick brand is also celebrating its 70th year in 2018. The brand started as a restaurant in Zurich, Switzerland in 1948 when Swiss hotelier Ueli Prager opened Zurich’s first “dining bar”. To commemorate the milestone, a special menu with 7 dishes will be available at all Movenpick resorts globally until April 20.

Vacationing for the sights or eating well while on vacation? On your next trip, you certainly don’t need to worry about having both at Movenpick Resort and Spa Boracay.
