If you’ve been a longtime fan of Maison Kitsuné, then chances are, you already miss dropping by their coffee shops whenever you travel abroad. But your longing for this Paris-meets-Tokyo brand will soon end. Café Kitsuné is finally opening its first branch in the country soon!
If you’ve ever run errands in Podium, then you’ve probably seen the ebony tarp that signals that the cafe’s construction is well underway! Its floor-to-ceiling tarpaulin had the brand’s unmistakable script scrawled over that said: Café Kitsuné, opening soon. And a few more steps, you’ll see next to it: Maison Kitsuné. Yup, its clothing brand counterpart is also opening its very first boutique in Manila! Currently, luxury retailer Univers stocks Maison Kitsuné locally.
Of course, we couldn’t believe our eyes so we just had to Google more info about it! But, any whiff of news about it on the internet proved to be non-existent—except for one solid clue that confirms it all. On Maison Kitsuné’s official website, they’ve got a world map of all their branches around the world. And guess what? Manila—along with Vancouver, Canada; Doha, Qatar; Bali, Indonesia; Jakarta, Indonesia; and, Beijing, China—is indeed about to open its very own branch!
For now, while the brand is still keeping mum on other specific details, we’ll just be here dreaming of their famed fox-shaped cookies, delicious coffee, and cafe merch while listening to their special playlist.
