Our local cacao beans continue to gain international recognition.

Tablea Chocolate, a Cebu-based chocolatier, took part in this year's WorldFood Moscow which is an international food and drink exhibition in Russia held from September 24 to 27, 2019.

Tablea Chocolate is known for their tablea, which is best paired with suman and mangga for merienda!

Tablea Chocolate is owned by Armi Lopez Garcia under the Armson Foods Corporation but was first founded by her daughter, Aya Garcia Shlachter.  It was Aya who believed in the quality of the family's tablea recipe that was passed on for generations and generations before her.

In a report by ABS-CBN News, Armi said that "Russians love our chocolate because it has the natural smell." Tablea Chocolate offers over 50 different products made with locally-sourced cacao from farmers and cacao-growing communities. They offer a selection of chocolate bars, coffee, and drink mixes, just to name a few.
