Here’s An Affordable Treat: These Nama-style Chocolates Are Below 230 Pesos
Here's one delicious way to get your chocolate fix and support small businesses at the same time: check out Chew's local Nama-style chocolates. 23-year old Kyla Pecolera started the business in July 2020, originally just for family and close friends. Now, her Nama-style chocolates come in four flavors: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, cinnamon, and matcha.
Nama chocolates are made of fresh cream and 40% chocolate, and it melts quite easily when left in room temperature. Its silky and smooth texture coupled with the rich chocolate flavors make it an indulgent treat. Kyla shares, "I opted to make truffles that have a firm consistency without being mindful of storage temperature. Compared to other truffles, ours can be kept at room temperature for hours without melting."
Each cube is loaded with chocolate flavor with just enough dusting of cocoa powder to add more intense flavors to a moderately-sweet bite. The chocolate truffles are more firm that what you may be used to but it doesn't make them any less enjoyable. It's totally okay to have more than a couple of pieces! The best part: each box doesn't go over P230. It's the perfect pick-me-up for a so-so WFH day, a chocolate treat for friends you haven't seen in months, or if you're feeling extra generous, you may send out a few boxes for Valentine's Day.
