3 Delicious Cocktails You Can Make This Weekend

Cool down with these refreshing cocktails (you don't need a lot of ingredients for these!).

Whisky can be a bit strong for some but when mixed with summer fruits and some bitters, they make for refreshing cocktails you can have over and over again. Mixologist and restaurateur Erwan Heussaff shares a few of his easy cocktail recipes:

 



Red Mule
Tangy and fun, this cocktail will remind you of endless summer days.

1 1/2 ounces whiskey (we used Johnnie Walker Red Label)
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
4 ounces cold ginger beer
A dash Angostura bitters

Pour ingredients into a glass and stir. Add ice cubes and give the cocktail a good stir. Garnish with lime slices.


 

 
The Chancellor
This luscious garnet red drink is a good intro to the strong flavors of Port wine.

2 ounces whiskey (we used Johnnie Walker Black Label)
1 ounce Ruby Port
½ ounce dry vermouth
A dash of Angostura bitters

Pour ingredients and ice cubes into a glass and give the cocktail a good stir. Strain into a separate chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with orange slices.

 

Gold Rush
Honey and lemon juice sweeten this whiskey-laced spin on the classic cocktail, Bee's Knees.

2 ounces whiskey (we used Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve)
½ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
¾ ounce honey syrup

Pour ingredients and ice cubes into a shaker. Shake well and serve. Garnish with lemon slices.
