In a post on the Department of Agriculture (DA) website, the DA announced that it launched last May 4, eKadiwa, the online store version of the Kadiwa markets and mobile Kadiwa palengkes. This follows the success of the markets launched in late March in response to the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and the needs of both the farmers and the consumers for fresh fruits, vegetables, and seafood.

Now, you can give your support to our local farmers online through the Department of Agriculture's eKadiwa websiteThe website currently has three stores that offer fresh vegetables and seafood. The DA expects to partner with more farmers and fisheries.

"Through eKadiwa, we strengthen our commitment to providing every Filipino family a convenient and easier way to buying fresh, nutritious, and safe food products by simply using a mobile phone or computer," said Agriculture Secretary William Dar.

The online store is initially available within Metro Manila and is expected to be available in major cities nationwide. Payment is through COD or cash on delivery via Mober Inc. while the DA coordinates with banks for cashless transactions and delivery service providers.
