Starting Your Own Food Business? You Should Take Up This Entrep + Culinary Arts Program!
This program is a collaboration between CCA and UA&P.
The livelihood of many Filipinos has been greatly affected since the start of the pandemic. It forced many to start their own online food business-from sushi bake to cookies and cakes, and beyond. If you also want to start a new food venture on a good note, you should consider taking up the Center of Culinary Art's newest program called Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Management Major in Culinary Arts.
This program was made in partnership with the University of Asia and the Pacific to help individuals establish a better and more sustainable enterprise in the food industry. This will equip aspiring entrepreneurs with all the essential knowledge about entrepreneurial management they may need with a special focus on culinary arts.
The course is the first of its kind in the country. People who will take up this course will learn basic kitchen skills, how to run a food enterprise, and develop the character needed to survive the competitiveness inside the food industry.
"With this program, students will gain learnings from the best of two worlds: entrepreneurship and culinary arts. Students will have the foundational business and entrepreneurial skills, and at the same time know what's in it for them in the culinary world and be ahead in terms of kitchen skills and product development," says Ma. Veritas F. Luna, CCA Manila chancellor of education.
"The key objectives of the program are to Provide, Nurture, and Guide. 'Provide' concepts and tools on entrepreneurial management. 'Nurture', enhance, and develop the students' entrepreneurial mindset, and 'Guide' toward establishing and running a profitable and sustainable food enterprise," adds Veritas.
