PSA: Tagaytay City is now open to tourists.
Just in case you missed it, Tagaytay City has opened its doors to tourists. No quarantine pass needed! According to the city's administrator Gregorio Monreal, anyone who wants to visit Tagaytay is only required to fill out a public health form and follow minimum public health protocols.¬†
If you've been feeling nostalgic about your weekend food trips in the city, the mayor of Tagaytay has allowed restaurants to accommodate up to 50% of its capacity. Just like the tourists, the restaurant employees are likewise required to follow safety protocols.
When you have had your fair share of sightseeing, eating a bowl or three of bulalo, and drinking a warm cup of kapeng barako, make sure you don't forget to buy pasalubong¬†on your way back home.

Rowena's Blueberry Cheese Tarts
Rowena's is one of the most popular pasalubong stopovers in Tagaytay. You can find their bestselling tasty blueberry cheese tarts, which combines creamy and tart flavors in one small treat. If you're not a fan of blueberries, Rowena's also has this in chocolate and strawberry flavors.¬†

Balay Dako's Piaya and Napoleones
Balay Dako has a pasalubong center within its two-story ancestral house-turned-restaurant where you can find different delicacies and bottled goods. If you're early enough, you can score a box of their napoleones.
They also have a dedicated station¬†for serving fresh, warm piaya! While it's best to eat it while it's warm, you can still heat it when you bring these home.¬†

Bag of Beans' Raisin Bread
If you don't like raisins in cookies nor your ulam, maybe Bag of Beans' raisin bread will change your mind. It's a soft bread with raisins tucked inside, adding a sweet, fruity, and tartness to each bite.
Bag of Beans is located at 115 Aguinaldo Highway, Mendez Crossing West, Silang Junction South, Tagaytay City. They have multiple branches within the city.
Gourmet Farms' Coffee Beans
You can find delicious local coffee blends at Gourmet Farms! A few of the coffee blends they offer¬†include the Barako Batangas, Maynila Blend, Mountain-Grown Arabica, Premium Blend, Reserve Blend, Hazelnut, and Decaf.¬†
Other items you shouldn't miss while you're at Gourmet Farms are the coffee buns and the bottled salsa.

Good Shepherd Bahay Pastulan's Ube Jam
For those who don't frequent Tagaytay, you probably didn't know you can also find Good Shepherd's¬†ube in the area! Good Shepherd Bahay Pastulan brings the Baguio delicacies closer to Manila folks. No need to go on an eight-hour trip up¬†to Baguio!

Mahogany Wet Market for fresh produce
If you're already in¬†Tagaytay, you might as well drop by the wet market and buy all the fresh produce. You'll find different fruits and vegetables sold for cheap. Although bulalo is not considered pasalubong, make sure to try it when you visit Mahogany Wet Market!
