These Platters Have Ribs, Garlic Shrimp, Salmon, and Truffle Rice

Order it for the weekend or for Christmas!

Weekends have become a time to treat one’s self during the pandemic: there’s probably less cooking on the agenda, a dessert for everyone, and a new dish to try to break the monotony of staying in and working from home.

If you’re looking for new food finds to try and want to support small businesses at the same time, check out Slow Burn MNL on Instagram. Choose from platters with ribs, garlic shrimp, and truffled umami rice (Turf & Surf, half-tray starts at P599) and another one with seared salmon and garlic shrimp (Surf & Surf, half-trays start at P699). You can opt to order squid ink rice or truffled umami rice for the Surf & Surf platter but either way, you get flavorful spoonfuls of rice. The truffled umami rice can be eaten on its own! Both trays are also served with cherry tomatoes and French beans.

If you’d like to take break from cooking, these platters won’t disappoint. The meats are well-seasoned and the rice, while flavorful on its own, complement each serving of seafood or bite of pork. Slow Burn MNL is a food project by business partners chef Chryso and Dale Morales, and Matthew Ignacio.
