Grab Philippines has issued a statement apologizing after social media posts containing homophobic slurs attacking BTS went viral. These homophobic comments, such as "BTS biot," are allegedly posted by Grab's delivery partners online in relation to the launch of the McDonald's BTS meals in the Philippines.

A Twitter post from @vmindables, has called out Grab and attached screenshots of the homophobic comments.  One of the screenshots shows a post on a Facebook group called "Grab Express and Grab Food" that has a caption of "Handa na ba kayong mag day off sa Friday mga ka BIOT?"

Filipino ARMYs (fandom name of BTS) have called out Grab for these homophobic and ignorant comments. Grab Philippines has released a statement that they suspended the delivery partners in question and "will continue to work hard to maintain an inclusive and diverse platform."

"Biot" is used as another word for "gay" or "bakla", which has long been used as a derogatory term especially here in the Philippines.
