Not all April Fool’s Day pranks are malicious, and this was proven with this awesome show of generosity by this user of the GrabFood app.
According to his Facebook post on April 1 that was shared by GrabFood PH, Vberni Regalado booked three food deliveries through GrabFood, one each from 24 Chicken, Andok’s, and Fat Boy’s Pizza Pasta. He paid for these in advance so all that needed to be done was for the food to be delivered once ready.
However, these food deliveries were not for Regalado. When he was notified that the food deliveries were ready to be delivered, he messaged the riders who were supposed to deliver the food to him and informed them to deliver the food to their families instead, not to his.
Don’t believe it? See his messages to each of the GrabFood delivery riders:

Why did he do it? His reasoning was simple as well as generous: “We can’t be heroes to everybody, but if we can make someone smile and be a blessing to them, even just for a day, then we are doing a great job,” said Regalado.
