More local establishments are now adopting good-for-the-planet practices and being mindful of their environmental impact. Grand Hyatt Manila just rolled out their version of Meatless Mondays at their buffet restaurant, The Grand Kitchen. Think sinful burgers, flavorful sausages, and delicious dishes-all sans meat. Grand Hyatt Manila partnered with Green Common, partner and distributor of plant-based food products to create BBQ cheeseburgers, chili cheese dogs, and more.

"We are rolling out Green Mondays first and then gradually introducing more plant-based choices and expanding it into our six other restaurants," says Executive Chef Mark Hagan. If you can't go on a Monday, the chefs at The Grand Kitchen can still whip up meat-free patties for your burgers. Don't forget to smother it with toppings of your choice!

Aside from Green Mondays, the hotel has also started with green practices such as collecting used coffee beans as fertilizer or encouraging guests to bring their own tumbler for their coffee when at the pastry shop.
