Yes, This Self-Heating Instant Hotpot Pack Exists And We Know Where You Can Buy It
This is the hotpot pack you need if you're feeling lazy.
For those who have traveled to China, you've most likely encountered Haidilao, a famous hotpot restaurant that currently has more than 400 branches worldwide. The popularity of their hotpot stems from its signature broths that come in four bases: tomato, mushroom, Sichuan, and the Three-Delicacy. Customers reportedly queue for hours!
One of the things Haidilao is also famous for is what they offer while you wait for your turn to be seated. You can have a mani-pedi session, play games to earn free food, and snacks are provided, too.
While traveling to China or other countries that offer Haidilao's famed hotpot is out of the picture for now, we found an instant, self-heating version of Haidilao's hotpot and it's available here in the Philippines.
It comes in different flavors, too! The most common you can find are the Original Beef, Spicy Beef, Original Pork, Beef Tripe, Vegetarian, and Hot & Sour Vegetable, but we've also spotted harder-to-find flavors that highlight other Asian flavors, like the Curry and Kimchi hotpot, too.
The most intriguing part: you don't need an external heat source when you prepare it. The package includes two bowls, the smaller bowl is where you put all the contents and the bigger bowl is where you place the heating pack and room temperature water. The heating pack will provide the heat and the water will gradually become warm, softening the noodles and the different ingredients in the smaller bowl placed on top of it.
