Woah, This Crema De Fruta Looks Too Pretty To Eat!

The classic cake gets an even more vibrant spin.

The classic cake has layers of sponge cake, custard, fruits (usually canned fruit cocktail), and gelatin for a dessert that’s creamy, cakey, and juicy all at once. Its traditional iteration will always have a special place in our hearts, but we recently spotted a more modern interpretation that’s got us drooling. Check Quezon City restaurant Half Saints‘ take on Crema de Fruta!

Half Saints’ Crema de Fruta is a visual stunner that resembles a colorful stained-glass piece of art. Beyond its looks, it’s got an intriguing combination of fresh coconut water and calamansi liqueur gelée, chiffon cake, creamy yema custard, diplomat cream, fresh kiwi, pomelo, mango, edible flowers, and mint! The cake layers are also arranged vertically (“just for fun,” says Half Saints). It’s a dessert that’s as creamy as it is vibrant and fruity, making it perfect for the summer season.
