Apparently, There's A Trick To Easily Get Ketchup Out Of A Heinz Bottle
Have you ever experienced difficulty forcing ketchup out from its bottle? Perhaps you have even tried to slap the ketchup bottle with your hand or you might have even used a knife or the handle of a fork or spoon, inserted it in the ketchup bottle, and twirled it to loosen the ketchup. While those methods could work, apparently, if you have a Heinz ketchup bottle, there's a trick to easily get the ketchup out of the glass bottle.
The trick to getting the ketchup out of a Heinz bottle
In an article by Mirror UK dating back to 2016, a spokesperson for Heinz says that there's a secret to release the ketchup from the glass bottle faster. "The sweet spot to tap on the Heinz bottle is the embossed 57 on the neck. All you need to do is apply a firm tap where the bottle narrows and the ketchup will come out easier," the spokesperson said.
Instead of violently shaking the Heinz bottle to force the ketchup out of its container, all you have to do is to slightly tilt the bottle and firmly tap the embossed 57 logo a few times and the ketchup is supposed to flow out.

What does the 57 on the Heinz bottle mean?
You might be thinking that the 57 on the bottle stands for the year the company was founded, but it's not. The timeline of Heinz actually started in 1869 and H.J. Heinz, the founder, started selling bottles of horseradish, pickles, vinegar, and other sauces.
Even if Heinz had a slogan of "57 varieties," the 57 doesn't actually mean there are 57 varieties of Heinz products. It was in 1896 that Heinz used this slogan and at that time, there were already selling more than 60 products.
According to Heinz's website, the meaning behind the 57 is because H.J. Heinz thought that the number sounded lucky.
