Is coffee an important part of your day? If you're having an extra busy day working from home, you can always rely on instant coffee for your daily caffeine needs. You don't need to allot time for brewing. Just add hot water and stir, then your cup of joe is ready to drink.

You probably know the different local 3-in-1 coffee brands you can find in the supermarket or convenience store, but if you want to go out of your comfort zone and try other blends, here are some imported instant coffees you can find in the supermarket:

Owl White Coffee

Owl is a coffee brand from Singapore and its instant coffee comes in three flavors: Regular, Strong, and for the sugar-conscious, a 2-in-1 Coffee with Creamer. These three flavors use a blend of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans.

Chek Hup Teh Tarik and White Coffee

Chek Hup is a Malaysian brand that offers different instant versions of the country's famous coffee and milk tea beverages. They have a Teh Tarik (or "pulled milk") milk tea line that highlights Malaysian Ginger Tea and Malaysian Tea.

Chek Hup also has Ipoh White Coffee, a popular coffee beverage that originated in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. It's commonly made by roasting the coffee beans in palm oil margarine, and this is served with condensed milk. Chek Hup has a wide selection of this beverage, ranging from Original, King (medium-dark roast), Coffee and Creamer, and Less Sweet.

Oldtown Ipoh White Coffee

Another Malaysian coffee brand you can find in supermarkets is Oldtown. The brand offers Ipoh White Coffee in different flavors, like the Classic, Hazelnut, Natural Cane Sugar, Less Sugar, and Extra Rich. They also have a special 2-in-1 Ipoh White Coffee blend used for their Nan Yang White Coffee O With Sugar and the Nan Yan White Coffee O Kosong (this has neither creamer nor sugar). 

For milk tea fans, Oldtown also has a milk tea series including Teh Tarik, Hong Kong-Style Milk Tea, and White Milk Tea.

UCC

The Ueshima Coffee Company (UCC) is a popular coffee company from Japan. Their 3-in-1 coffee comes in two blends: Regular and Strong, but they also offer coffee granules that are available in different blends. 

UCC uses coffee granules for the Class One Premium, Sumiyaki Blend: a dark roast coffee using Central and South American Arabica beans, and the entire "The Blend" line. The Blend Line includes mild-tasting coffee such as the Special Blend #113 and #114, while the bolder flavors come from Special Blend #114 and #118.

Maxim

Not all supermarkets carry the Maxim brand, but you can for sure buy this in most Korean groceries. Maxim is a 3-in-1 coffee available in Original, White Gold (milky), Mocha Gold (sweet and milky). You can also find a 3-in-1 Arabica 100 flavor but it's quite rare.

No Brand

No Brand is a Korean grocery that offers its own instant coffee packs. They have two flavors available: Mocha Gold and Mocha Milk. While No Brand has its main stores at Galleria and Galleria South, these are also available in Korean groceries and select local supermarkets.
