These Are The Unique Starbucks Beverages Around The World

Starbucks is known for creating a cozy coffee shop experience anywhere you might be in the world. With thousands of Starbucks branches all over the globe (including a roastery and cafe in Milan, Italy!), it comes as no surprise that they have drinks unique to a specific city or country. On your next trip, you might want to consider making a detour to try some of these (mostly seasonal) coffees, lattes, and Frappuccinos: 

1 Violet Roasted Sweet Potato Latte (Starbucks South Korea)

Starbucks Korea recently released a vibrant Violet Roasted Sweet Potato Latte (yes, ube!) that has a light purple gradient color from the blend of purple sweet potatoes and milk. In Korea, you can get this beverage either as a hot or cold drink with whipped cream and bright purple sweet potato dust sprinkled on top.

2 Valentine Customania Cocoa and Valentine Customania Frappuccino (Starbucks Japan)

There are two new customizable beverages you can order at a Starbucks in Japan: the Valentine Customania Cocoa and Valentine Customania Frappuccino. These Valentine-special drinks are customizable in three ways: the Romantic beverage is topped with strawberry meringue, the Chocolate drink is sprinkled with crunchy chocolate biscuits, and the Coffee beverage lets you add another espresso shot.

3 CoLychee Macchiato and Lavender Ristretto Macchiato (Starbucks Hong Kong)

Last year, Starbucks branches in Hong Kong served two new and exciting drinks made in collaboration with HK-based Starbucks baristas who participated in the 2018 Coffee Innovation Competition, Cola and Queenice. Starbucks' CoLychee Macchiato bursts with sweet notes of lychee, milk, and espresso roast, plus a layer of chewy nata de coco and topped with coconut flavored whipped cream. The Lavender Ristretto Macchiato has freshly steamed milk, a Ristretto shot, notes of lavender, topped with lavender-flavored whipped cream, and sprinkled with purple chocolate sprinkles.

4 Mango Dragonfruit (Starbucks US and Canada)

Nothing says 'tropical' more than the combo of sweet mangoes and exotic dragon fruit! This hand-shaken drink from Starbucks US and Europe is a refreshing drink that's tinted with a deep magenta hue from the fresh red-fleshed dragon fruit (also known as pitaya). You can customize this fruity drink by using coconut milk which will make it creamier and more summery!

5 New Year Firework Latte, Peach-Flavored Green Tea Latte, and Macadamia White Chocolate (Starbucks China)

China is ringing in the Chinese New Year with three new beverages, namely the New Year Firework Latte, Peach-Flavored Green Tea Latte, and the Macadamia White Chocolate Flavored Macchiato! These are best paired with Starbucks China's oh-so-sweet treats, such as the Raspberry & Pistachio Cake and the Black Sesame Chocolate Cake.
