Every contemporary dish has its own origin story and Ippudo's famous line of delicious ramen? Well, as with anything, it all started with "Zero"-literally. Ippudo's 33-year-old Zero ramen represents the original ramen recipe that led to the rise of Ippudo's famous ramen empire. Each bowl of Zero features their signature full-bodied tonkotsu broth, classic Hakata-style noodles, slow-cooked salted pork chashu, green onions, mushroom, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

To celebrate Ippudo's 33rd birthday, as well as Ippudo Philippine's 4th anniversary, the authentic Japanese ramen joint brought back the Zero ramen on the menu for a limited time only. If you're wondering what an uncomplicated, undemanding ramen should taste like, you should definitely go with a bowl of Zero. In its simplest blend of flavors, this is exactly what a basic ramen should taste: umami-rich, medium-heft broth with a well-balanced noodle-to-soup ratio and a variety of toppings to add a bit of texture to each mouthwatering bite.

This rare bowl of ramen (P290) will be available until November 30 at all Ippudo branches: SM Megamall, Robinsons Place Manila, Uptown Mall, Mall of Asia, Eastwood City, Ayala Malls Vertis North, and Powerplant Mall.
