Quezon City, Get Ready for This Extra Jiggly Sponge Cake

It's easy to see why Malaysian-based Jim's Recipe became a hit when they first opened their Manila branch at SM Mall of Asia. It's hard to resist their incredibly jiggly, light, and fluffy sponge cakes. SM MOA isn't exactly the easiest to visit for those who live on the other side of the Metro-especially when you consider how bad traffic can get-so if you want to know what the hype's all about, you're in luck. A second branch is opening at SM North EDSA, with the opening date tentatively set for the third week of July.

Jim's Recipe is the brainchild of Chef Jim Wong. His recipe uses about 45 eggs to create the perfect, buttery-fluffy sponge cake. Aside from the Original Sponge Cake (P180) with a mild eggy flavor, they also offer the Cheese Sponge Cake (P250)-which will be available at 50% off on their opening day. Uy shares that they'll be posting more mechanics on their official Facebook page once opening day draws nearer, though orders will be limited to one person. He also hints that they'll be launching new flavors soon. Looks like there's a lot to forward to.
