ICYMI: Jollibee's Chickenjoy Will Soon Be Available In Madrid
It's no secret that Jollibee's hell-bent on taking over the world, one new store at a time. In 2020, they announced their plans to open more stores in Europe in the next five years; true enough, they've set up shop everywhere from Liverpool in the U.K. to Rome in Italy. This time, they're taking on Spain, as the Filipino fast-food giant is set to open their first store in Madrid very soon!

You can expect to be able to dig into Jollibee's bestsellers at the upcoming location-including, of course, their famous Chickenjoy. "The fried chicken segment is underrepresented in Spain's restaurant segment compared to other markets, so we are very excited to introduce the Chickenjoy we are known and loved for around the world to the people of Spain," says Jollibee Group President and Chief Executive Officer Ernesto Tanmantiong in a statement. Other Jollibee signatures that will be available include the Jolly Spaghetti and Chicken Burger.

With the ongoing pandemic, Jollibee's Madrid branch will also be implementing a couple of safety measures-including outdoor seating areas, external pick-up areas for take-away food, digital kiosks, and hand-washing stations.
"Opening Jollibee stores in Spain is a milestone that forms part of our vision of becoming among the top five restaurant companies in the world and part of our commitment to grow in Europe," Tanmantiong shares.
Jollibee is a fast-food chain in the Philippines with stores all over the country plus more than 270 international branches in countries that include the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Macau, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, and the United Kingdom.
