Where Can You Buy Jollibee's Honey Beef Rice?
This nostalgia-in-a-bowl is available at select branches.
If you consider yourself as a '90s kid, then you probably have a few food favorites from your childhood that are no longer available. When it comes to fast food, Jollibee has tons of discontinued products from two decades ago that people want back on the menu and thankfully, one of them is unofficially back: Jollibee's Honey Beef Rice.
Jollibee's Honey Beef Rice is a rice bowl topped with beef strips and onion, coated in a soy sauce-honey dressing. The beef is tender but the sauce is the real star of this dish: it's not too sweet, not too salty, and you can taste a bit of the onions, too.
If you're part of the generation that didn't get to try Honey Beef Rice, the dish is best described as a sweeter version of bistek with a thicker sauce, or a Pinoy version of the Japanese gyudon rice bowl.
The Jollibee Honey Beef Rice isn't available yet at all Jollibee branches. In fact, there are only a handful branches that have it. According to this post on Facebook group Let's Eat Pare, the Honey Beef Rice is available at Jollibee Legarda Bustillos, BGC Triangle, Bayani Road, Macapagal Biopolis, or Madrigal branches.
On GrabFood (Jollibee Madrigal), the Honey Beef Rice costs P164/solo, P214/with drinks, P825/family pan good for six, and P1,056/family pan good for eight. It's a little expensive, but the rice bowl is actually quite huge!
Millennials might be happy that the Honey Beef Rice is back on the menu but there seems to be a stronger demand for the return of another Jollibee favorite. Hopefully, both fingers crossed, that they also bring back the Garlic Pepper Beef soon!
